- 1 pound Minced beef or turkey
- 12 ounces Pasta (e.g., penne or fusilli)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 3 cups Chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
Add minced meat, cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
When you add the pasta to the pot, make sure it is completely submerged in the liquid.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked.
Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
