Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup (170 g) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (213 g) packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (330 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in an other basin. Add to the wet components small amounts at a time and stir until just blended.
  • Add Chocolate: Stir in chocolate chips or chunks evenly.
  • Shape and Bake: Roll the dough into balls or use a scoop to portion out evenly
  • On the baking sheet, arrange them a few inches apart.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set but still soft.
  • Cool: Move cookies to a wire rack after allowing them to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes.
