- 3/4 cup (170 g) salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (213 g) packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups (330 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy (about 3-4 minutes).
Mix Wet Ingredients: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in an other basin. Add to the wet components small amounts at a time and stir until just blended.
Add Chocolate: Stir in chocolate chips or chunks evenly.
Shape and Bake: Roll the dough into balls or use a scoop to portion out evenly
On the baking sheet, arrange them a few inches apart.
Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set but still soft.
Cool: Move cookies to a wire rack after allowing them to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes.
