- 1 ripe avocado (pitted and flesh scooped out)
- 1 large ripe banana (peeled)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, e.g., almond milk, oat milk)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for extra chill)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)
- 2-3 tablespoons almonds or almond butter (optional, for extra creaminess and protein)
Prepare the ingredients: Peel the banana, scoop out the flesh of the avocado, and gather the remaining ingredients.
Combine in a blender: Add the avocado, banana, milk, almonds (or almond butter), vanilla extract, and ice cubes (if using) into a blender.
Blend until smooth: Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Scrape down the sides if necessary.
Taste and sweeten (if needed): Taste the smoothie and, if desired, add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness. Blend for another 10-15 seconds to incorporate.
Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses. Optionally, chill it for 10-15 minutes for a colder result. Garnish with a few almonds or banana slices if desired.
Enjoy: Serve immediately for the freshest taste!
